Shinran was an "evil man" !?

 Well, I exposed my lewdness yesterday, but that's just who I am, so there's nothing I can do about it. If I look into my own heart, there are plenty of other ugly things. There's no hope for salvation. Well, I'm a bad person.


So, what kind of person was Shinran? Well, he was,


"An extremely evil person!"

No, that's not my opinion. It can't be helped, since Shinran himself declared to his disciples,


"I am an extremely evil person!"


It seems that even his disciples were shaken by this, saying,


"You don't have to go that far."


But even so, is there any guru who would call himself an "extremely evil person"? Because he was married? That's part of it. He must have been staring intently into his own heart. And he realized that no matter how much he practiced, no matter how much he prayed to Buddha, there was a demon in his heart that would not go away.


That demon is inside me too.


So I have no choice but to follow Shinran.
