Farewell to "Money-Honey"

I got a job at the bank and had many meetings with the "Money-Honey" I admired, but our honeymoon didn't last long.

"Money-Honey" must be angry at me for betraying her and running to God, to Buddha.

"I let you touch me so much."

I'm sorry, we're not going to work out.

I want to be free from you.

I don't want to be tied down by you.

Goodbye. I'm going now.

It's a sad moment of separation for the two of us.

And so I quit the bank after a year and a half. I did "touch" her. Money. More money in one day than an average person could touch in their entire life. Every day, every day. That's why I don't want to touch it anymore. Money. So

"How do you want to pay?"

"PayPay."(Online payment app)

But I wonder if "Money-Honey" is really angry at me.

Maybe she actually cares.

Because the balance in my savings account keeps growing.

Perhaps you still have feelings for me?

It's time to stop messing around and get serious.

The reason my savings balance keeps growing is because I only spend within the limits of my income. It's only because I know what is enough. So it's only natural.

If you know what is enough, "Money-Honey" will follow you on its own. It will follow you around.

By taking back control from money and into human hands through "few desires and contentment," you can manage your money without being at the mercy of money. Instead of being controlled by money, you will control money.

You will no longer be under Money-Honey's thumb.

Of course, you can't become "rich". Because you are "few desires and contentment," you only need what you need, and you don't want more than that. You are satisfied with that. You are content. And that's why peace comes to your heart. In the first place, I think that "getting rich" is a "waste of time."

In the end, we go back to what Socrates said,

"Aren't you ashamed that you only think about increasing your money?"

I think there are more important things to do, such as "saving the soul" and "pursuing the truth." At the same time, I want to work to contribute to society. God, or Buddha, is watching over us and will give work to such people. Work comes from the other side. So we have an income. But because we are "content with little," our spending is low. So even if we don't "only think about increasing our money," our money will increase on its own.

Faith is wonderful.

 You can find true joy.

If economic activity takes up all your time and you forget your faith, you won't know what you're living for.

It's the same as saving as much money as you can and dying without ever spending it.

In a capitalist world ruled by money, all of a person's time and energy is spent on the pursuit of profit.

Doesn't that make you wonder what you're living for?
