How to win "Money"
If you borrow money, interest will accrue and it will grow exponentially, so you will soon lose control and be ruined. We have seen the scary power of exponential growth, but is there no way to beat money?
Is this already a losing battle?
Wait a minute. Why not just not borrow money? Or rather, what would happen if you deposited money? The current interest rate for fixed deposits in US dollars is... 4.1% (Sumitomo Mitsui SBI). 1.041 to the 100th power is...
1.041 to the 100th power is about 55.60. (by ChatGPT)
"55.6 times! I did it! I'm rich."
You'll be dead in 100 years? Right. That's pointless. Well, if it's 30 years,
1.041 to the 30th power is about 3.34. (by ChatGPT)
"3.34 times? That's pretty good. I'm not poor anymore."
Did you just win? To money? Our enemy, that almost invincible "money"?
Debts grow exponentially, but so do savings, so if we can use the secret of our enemy's strength, the "interest" system, to our advantage and make a deposit, we can win.
Debt and savings
Where does this difference come from?
It's probably our daily income and expenditure. If our expenditures are higher than our income, it's debt, and if our expenditures are lower than our income, it's savings. Hahaha, it's not a big deal, but I have a little bit of savings too. At least I don't have any debt.
High income?
No way. Someone who says "I want little and know contentment" or "I only know contentment" can't have a high income, right?
Then how can you save money?
That's why it's because I want little and know contentment. It's because I only know contentment. This is a powerful weapon for survival given to me by the Buddha. It's more like armor than a weapon. When I wear this, my expenses are greatly reduced. My income is low, but my expenses are even lower. So, overall, I'm in the black every month. Whether I like it or not, my savings will continue to pile up. The next step is to use the enemy's strength, the interest system, to my advantage and make a deposit to win.
The teachings of Buddhism are very strong against the "temptation of money." I wrote about this before, right?
"These are the only people who are not affected by the temptation of money."
Money also had a hard time attacking Zen monks. I'm not as good as a Zen monk, but I am a member of the "few desires and contentment" movement, so I can withstand the attacks of money's desires.
"You must not take interest"
This Islamic teaching is a blow aimed at the weak point, destroying the self-multiplying function of money itself. It has the greatest attacking power. In contrast,
"few desires and contentment"
This Buddhist teaching repels the attacks of money's desires. It has the greatest defensive power.
If Islam and Buddhism joined forces, wouldn't they be able to defeat "money," the greatest enemy of humanity and the de facto ruler of this world, with their offensive and defensive powers at their maximum? "Money" is "capitalism." Right now, it's wearing the mask of "democracy."
By the way, Judaism and Christianity originally forbade interest, didn't they? Isn't that written in the Bible? Even in Judaism, it is still prohibited for fellow Jews to lend money with interest, right? So why is it OK now? Maybe they were beguiled by the enemy? By "Money"? Aren't they against "interest" in principle? So why don't they join forces again? I don't think we can defeat "Money", the greatest threat to humanity, unless the world's religions get together.
If interest disappeared, savings would not increase, but if it would help humanity regain sovereignty from money, that would be fine.
This is a personal story, but the reason why I save money is for my retirement. I wanted to be free from the control of money (or rather, I wanted free time), so I quit my job after a year and a half and became freelance, so I only have the national pension (Japan's pension system). Companies are "corporations," so they are slaves to capital. They do contribute to society, but in reality they think "anything goes as long as it's profitable." They think it's fine as long as they're happy. Just like someone else, they put profit first, right? Well, I'll write about that later, but the national pension is 65,000 yen($435) a month. No matter how much I am "content with little," no matter how much I am "content with myself," it's just too less, right? Muhammad also said, "It is better to give than to receive," and the Buddhist scriptures also say, "Set aside one-third of your income for your retirement." If we had a system like the Nordic ones where retirement was properly guaranteed, I wouldn't need savings or interest on deposits. So if we want to win against "money," and to regain our sovereignty from the control of "money," we need to build a secure social system that guarantees the livelihood of those in retirement, those who can no longer work, and those in need. This is a very obvious thing, and it is preached and practiced in all religions. But why can't this be achieved in this rich, "capitalist" world, where we are supposed to be experiencing such "economic development"? In this modern society, where we are supposed to be experiencing unprecedented economic growth in the history of mankind? I would like to think about this again later.
So, what kind of company did you work for?
Well... hehehe,
Enemy headquarters.
I'll tell you the details next time (unless I change my mind).
