Truly Country First

The fact that one's happiness is inseparable from the happiness of others, the happiness of the whole, also applies to relations between countries.

The current trend is "my country first," but what country's leader would say, "I prioritize the interests of other countries over my own interests"? I don't know any leader in history who has said something like that. Every country puts its own interests first. So a manifesto that says "my country first" is essentially saying nothing.

The problem is the way in which it benefits one's own country.

If a country is blinded by short-term profits and acts as it pleases, regardless of appearance, and takes actions that harm the interests of other countries, the international community, and ultimately humanity, the leader of that country will be frowned upon and will not be trusted.

"That leader is pretty bad,"

and that will continue to be the case,

"That country is pretty bad,"

and other countries will start to distance themselves from that country. Previous allies will also become wary and start to distance themselves from that country. And if you try to use force against another country to gain profits, you will incur the hatred of that country. And that hatred will be passed down forever through generations. How can your country gain profits when you are completely rejected by the world? Even if you gain profits temporarily, it is clear that you will suffer losses in the long term. In the end, as we have seen before, isn't this a pattern of "pursuing short-term profits and losing true profits"?

If you really want to bring profits to your country, you need the prosperity of other countries and the prosperity of all of humanity. Today, the flow of economy, society, information, and people is connected beyond countries. Even when trading, if the other country is poor, they will not buy the products you want to sell, right? Also, if the other country is poor, they may not have the capacity to export the products you want, right? If there is a war, neither nation's people can be happy. The only one making profits is the military industry. It would be frightening if this military industry is making huge political donations with the money it has earned, manipulating candidates and the government. Peace is not good for the military industry to prosper. That's why they need to create a virtual enemy country. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, there was a chance for NATO and Russia to join forces, but the American military industry sabotaged it in order to create a virtual enemy country, isolating Russia. That's why Russia and Ukraine are now at war. The one laughing the most behind the scenes is the American military industry. If this is really the modern-day United States, it's terrifying, but I've digressed a bit. That's another topic.

Anyway, what I want to say here is that again

"We are one."

It is necessary to recognize that the happiness of one's own country is one with the happiness of other countries, and ultimately the happiness of all humanity. A state in which only oneself is happy and others around are unhappy will inevitably generate resistance and counterattack. And history has proven that such a country will ultimately be destroyed. In the end, if you pursue your own country's interests, you have no choice but to pursue the interests of other countries and the interests of all humanity at the same time.
