Saving the bad guy is for your own good
Well, history has proven many times that evil will be destroyed, but what happens to evil people after their destruction? They must be saved.
First of all, regarding the category of evil people, I don't think there are any 100% evil people. That's because every person has Buddha nature, the seeds of compassion, and the seeds of love. There is a little god in the heart of every person. At the same time, I don't think there are any 100% good people. As long as we are human, there is always a dark side, an evil side, in our hearts that we cannot do anything about. The world is quick to divide people into good and bad people, but I think such simple stereotypical thinking will lead us to miss the truth.
So evil people, or rather people who have once committed a crime, must be saved. If we don't do this, that person will be placed in an unfortunate situation, and that unfortunate situation will affect the entire society and ultimately have a negative impact on our happiness.
Let's consider a specific situation.
Suppose a person commits a crime and goes to prison, and then is released after serving his sentence. If society continues to reject them, they will think, "I won't have a job in the world," and will have no choice but to join bad groups and commit crimes. And we will be the targets of these crimes. If this continues, society will never be happy. Here again, the iron rule that the misfortune of others is your misfortune is followed. If you really want to be happy, you need to wish happiness on others. This includes people who have committed crimes. Even if they serve their sentence and are released, if they have no place to live, food, or work, they have no choice but to commit crimes again. Therefore, it is clear that society needs to provide these people with food, clothing, and shelter, employment support, and even temporary jobs. This is not only for the individual, but for society, that is, so that we can live in peace. In fact, there seem to be organizations that support such people, including former members of such organizations. I think these people are gods. Of course, the government is also working on this to some extent, but it is not seeing much effect. "They're not getting better at all."
I've heard people say this. The government needs to provide more support, but at the same time, we as a society, each and every one of us, need to be willing to help. This is not charity. If we don't, our happiness and safety will be threatened. In the end, as the "True Egoist Manifesto" says, it's for our own good.
