"True Egoist" Declaration

Yesterday I criticized the "me-first" attitude, but that doesn't mean that I don't think about my own interests. Just as I said that we have an obligation to be happy, I also have an obligation to be happy. It's not a right, it's an obligation.

However, if you look at the relationship between the whole and the individual, and the relationship between people and cells, you can see that if you pursue your own interests and it harms the interests of others and ultimately the whole, the benefits you gain will only be short-term, and it is now clear that you will also harm your own interests. So "me-first" is not qualified to be an egoist. In the end, you will not gain your own interests.

If you really want to gain your own interests, you need to align the interests of others with the interests of the whole. And that is possible by working. Work hard while always being conscious of whether your work is in line with the interests of others and the interests of the whole.

At that time, you will receive appropriate compensation. You will never "sell cheap" your work. You will not "devote yourself" to unpaid overtime, long working hours that cut down on sleep, or give up your proper holidays. If I did that, I would be exhausted, my work performance would drop, and I wouldn't be able to keep it up for long. In the end, I wouldn't be able to do my job.

In this way, I would benefit and be happy.

This is what a true "egoist" is.

When I think about it, maybe I just want to be happy. I put my own interests first. However, when I pursue how to make myself happy and how to benefit myself, in the end, sadly, unfortunately, others and the whole world must be happy. I realized that a state in which only I am happy while others are unhappy and the whole world is unhappy will not last long and will inevitably collapse. In other words, a state in which only I benefit and others are disadvantaged will not last long and will inevitably collapse.

Even if it is an egoist to pursue their own interests first, a true egoist will have no choice but to pursue the interests of others and the whole world and align with their own interests.

In the end, I am a true egoist.
