About Immigration (2)

Last time I thought about immigration, and I think it can be categorized into a few patterns.

First, there are those who flee for their lives after being persecuted in their home country. These are so-called refugees. Then there are those who reach poverty in their home country and head for a new land. Then there are those who emigrate to wealthier countries, not necessarily because they're struggling, but in search of a better standard of living. There are also those who venture out into the world because their home country isn't enough to allow them to maximize their abilities. Finally, there are those who leave their current homeland simply because they're attracted to new, unknown worlds. I guess you could call it the adventurous type.

In reality, it's likely that several of these patterns are mixed together. But life forms migrate first and foremost, searching for their own survival. Then they migrate in order to prosper even more than they are now. And finally, life forms themselves migrate, armed with curiosity and a spirit of adventure, in order to expand their habitat as far as possible. The fact that humanity is eager to plan migration into space, even to Mars, is likely a manifestation of this life instinct.

In any case, as long as humans are living organisms, migration will never stop. It's instinctively built into life's strategy for self-expansion.

And so, conflict and exchange will likely continue forever. But there is hope. Life ultimately migrates for its own prosperity, so in the long run, migration will inevitably be beneficial for humanity and life. After all, if humans were to migrate to Mars, it would mean that Earth's lifeforms would have expanded their habitat into space.

Next, we need to create mechanisms and systems that allow for peaceful coexistence. And I count on young people. Young people want to leave the village, don't they? And they want to move to the city. Young people in Japan from rural areas want to move to Tokyo. And until recently, young people in Japan wanted to move to America or Europe. I don't know if it's because they're yearning for the unknown world, but that's fine. Without young people, humanity, and life itself, would not thrive. For some reason, young people want to go into space. Even though there's no oxygen there and you wouldn't be able to breathe. But that's fine.

That's why I want to cheer up all life on the move.

And I'm sure God (Buddha) also sends encouragement to life on the move.

After all, it is God who encourages us to seize every opportunity to move.

Be fruitful, multiply,

and spread, to the ends of the universe
