In the end, only mercy remains

So, I'm finally going to dive into the Buddhist scriptures.

I won't go into the detailed explanations of the scriptures here.

This may seem a bit ridiculous, but I've been moved by the Buddha's wonderful words one by one and posted them on my blog before. I think it was about 15 or 20 years ago. I've already forgotten when it was.

There were too many Buddhist scriptures, but they were interesting. It may be inappropriate to say that sacred words are interesting, but they are really interesting, so I can't help it. I wondered if the Buddha was trying to make me laugh? Did he really want to make me laugh? Especially the Nirvana Sutra of Mahayana. Of course, there were difficult parts, too. Like the Madhyamaka-sastra and the Mahayana Samadhi-vija. And as I continued to read the Buddhist scriptures and the holy scriptures of the saints, at some point, something strange happened. Wherever I read, it said,

"I will save you."

Whether I looked at the front or back of the page, it said,

"I will save you."

Whether you read it vertically or horizontally, forward or backward, it says

"I will save you."

I can read all the words of the Buddhist scriptures and the words of the saints as

"I will save you."

That's the only way I can read it. Maybe I've finally read too many Buddhist scriptures and gone crazy. You may wonder what's the point of such a simple interpretation, but it can't be helped since I can only read it that way. By the way, who does the "you" in "I will save you" refer to? It directly refers to the person reading it, but it actually refers to "everyone." So, to be precise, it's

"The Buddha saves everyone."

And "everyone" really means "everyone." It's not "except those who slander the True Dharma" or "except those who have committed the five cardinal sins and ten evil deeds." The Buddha saves "everyone," including those who don't believe, even if they fail to chant the Nembutsu at the moment of death. In other words, God saves everyone. He saves them because they are evil people. And he saves them because they don't believe.

No matter where I read it, it's written that way. Or rather, that's the only way I can read it.

Hmm? Am I wrong?

Maybe so. At least, that's what I read as Shinran saying. But you might say that Nichiren, the strictest of all, is different. Is that so? Didn't he confess when questioned three times that Buddha would "save even those who slander the true Dharma"?

I've forgotten all the difficult stuff now.

And in the end, only mercy remained.

I'll leave it here for today. You're probably thinking here we go again, but here's a song from the Kannon Sutra in the Lotus Sutra in which I force Kannon Bodhisattva to save us all.
