The value of people
A person's value is revealed in times of crisis.
There are people who act quickly to help those in front of them,
and people who are so scared that they can't move a single step.
I'm ashamed to say that I was the latter.
Many times.
And I probably still am.
Too bad.
It makes me wonder if there's any value in my life.
So, if you ask whether the former type of people exist, you'll be surprised at how many of them there are.
They can be pretty normal people, women, or juvenile delinquents.
It makes me think that the world isn't such a bad place after all, and that those people are almost gods or Buddhas.
They sometimes make the news, and it really feels like
"They're flying towards us!"
Bodhisattvas do exist.
They're surprisingly close to us.
